Getting To BO Resort

How To Get Here

By Plane

A few carriers are trying to compete with the omnipresent Vietnam Airlines.

If you are flexible on the time frame, VietJetAir (dispite their weird name :), can be an option. Attention, there is an extra-cost for the luggage above  10kg... Maybe good for weekends...

It is wise to book at least one month in advance. If it is for the high season,

two months is  better.

During the high season (November till May) there are up to 10 daily flights from Saigon.

There is one daily flight from/to Hanoi. Also from/to Rach Gia

and Can Tho, this is convenient when you plan to visit the Mekong Delta.

By Boat

A speedboat is operating from Rach Gia. Two daily departures. 2h30 (120km).

Also from Ha Tien. Also two departures/day. Duration of trip: 1h30 (40km).

During the rainy season or bad weather conditions, those services might be cancelled or deffered.

Moving around on the Island

Taxi cars are largely available. A lot of them are 7-seaters. The fare to

BO Resort is 390K VND (20 miles). No use to bargain. Look at the meter...

Tell the drivers that the place you want to go to is

BO Resort on Ong Lang Beach
or, if you feel like trying some Vietnamese language, say: "BO Resort, Ap Ong Lang".

If you have reserved with us before arriving, we book a cab for you.
The driver will be waiting for you at the gate with your name on a sign.
The spelling might be a little different from what you expect though!

A lot of motorbike-taxis are also available to take you to any place on the island.

The "Honda om"s (or "Xe om") know the Island like their pocket. The problem is that it can be difficult to communicate with them and sometimes take you

where they want and/or where they get commissions.

Between the Airport or the harbor and BO Resort, the fare shouldn't be more than 150K VND. You have to negotiate...

This is an OK solution, only if you're alone and don't have a lot of luggage...

MotorBike daily rental available at BO Resort, or from the airport.
